Getting Started

Welcome to Buzzr.com!

Hundreds of thousands of professional developers have created websites with the powerful social-media rich technology underlying Buzzr. Now you can too, but with no coding required. (With many supplemental advanced options for designers and programmers.)

You have a very large array of features and configurations at your disposal. This overview will point out some of the most popular – you can find out more by exploring the site (all over the site, you’ll find “Tips” highlighted in yellow, as well as “?” icons you can click on) or reviewing the extensive Help index.

Every website starts with a blog, image gallery, static page (your About page is an example), and press page. The Press section is an example of both a “Custom Form” - a form that has more fields than just the standard title and body of a blog – and a “Custom Page” - an index of your content that you can sort and filter to present in different ways.

And by default, your website is also a community that your visitors can join and participate in. We’ve got all these features turned on for you as a starting point.

Your default front page also starts with a few sample widgets, one of the most important ways to extend the functionality of your website.

One note before we begin: Your site is currently in offline mode, meaning no one can see it. You’ll get instructions toward the end of the guide about publishing your site to the web when you’re ready.

Let’s start by getting your site’s look and feel together.
