Deleting a site

If I want to 'scratch' an effort and start all over, how do I delete an existing site?

Starting over

You can instantly reset your design. You can also almost instantly delete all site content. (Manage Content > Manage All. Just click "Select All" and then "Delete" from the Options drop down.)

If you want to try a different style for your site, you can go to Design and Layout > Select Style. A carousel of different style choices will appear and you can preview what your site will look like by clicking through them.

For a fresh start of your current design, start by clicking on Design and Layout > Design. You will have opened the design admin panel. On the far right of the controls, you'll see Save. If you've previously saved a style, you'll also see Load.

Click Load. A pop up will appear with a drop down that shows the name(s) of any styles you've previously created. There is also a choice called "Fresh Style." This choice resets instantly the style to where you started.

Choose Fresh Style and Load Style. Now you'll have the fresh style, plus the old one will still be saved in case you want to go back to it. You can do this as many times as you'd like -- create lots of style options for the same site.

After you are done with your tweaks, remember to save your Fresh Style, give it a new name, and if you want to publish it, to click on Publish.

One other option: you can cancel your subscription to your current site. We periodically delete sites with cancelled subscriptions. Then go back to the homepage and subscribe to a new site with your same user name and password. You can have as many sites as you'd like under the same user name.

Exported Site: Sweaver: and cancelling an account

Since I can't seem to add new content here, I hope that someone will read/reply to this. I tried exporting my site, then I imported it to another host. I followed the directions, made and populated the database then went to the install screen.

The install seemed to stop just before 'configure your site' (I tried twice after dropping database and reimporting). When I went to the site itself, I got a white screen with a bunch of errors (most database...already declared etc.) When I refreshed the screen, I got the home page, and everything seems to be working ok....except Sweaver

I've checked the permissions, and can see it in the modules folder, even see the little ^ icon at the bottom left of the screen...but no sweaver functionality. When I click the arrow/icon nothing at all seems to happen.

On investigation, is see that there is a site in the default folder allaboutbusiness.buzzr.com, and I wonder if there is a conflict between it's Sweaver, and the one in my modules folder? Do I need to keep that site in the default folder for some reason?

Also, I can't seem to find anyplace to change my plan, or cancel it?

thanks

It's easy to cancel

Just sign in on your site or at buzzr.com/user.

On your profile there is a tab for recurring fees. Click it and there is a link to Cancel. Boom, you're done.

A team member is looking at your sweaver question and we will e-mail you directly when we have the answer, or if it's a bug that needs to be fixed. As understand it, your exported website is working and has all the themes, users, data and basic CMS modules. You just can't get back end sweaver module to work.(Sweaver is the technical name for our design suite.)

We actually do intend for sweaver to work on export. However, it's important to note that you lose our entire streamlined user interface, so you will be working in native open source Drupal instead of easy-to-use drag and drop Buzzr. Drupal is a complex CMS usually used only by trained experts.

You also lose our updates, security patches and feature upgrades. Modules in Drupal need to be patched and upgraded all the time -- without some of these security updates, websites can become highly vulnerable.
